Episode 8

Cultivate Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace

Description

Before COVID-19, a global economic recession, and Black Lives Matter, most workplace Diversity & Inclusion initiatives didn’t focus on addressing structural issues and challenges employees of marginalized communities face. With increased protests and tension, corporate D&I Initiatives are not only being scrutinized, but are being asked to increase their authentic impact to ensure an inclusive, fair, and equitable workplace and inclusive total brand image. How can organizations work to authentically support their employees? Sit down with the strategic Brittany Cole, Gabriel Colon-Sciabarrasi, and Dr. “Bowtie” Todd Jenkins who unravelled the intricacies behind workplace D&I and shared some tips to cultivate a healthy workplace culture for all.

Testimonial

“People of color are highly aware of the systemic inequities and the daily micro-invalidations that follow them in the corporate workplace. The work these diversity & inclusion professionals do to bring these injustices to the attention of white folks and hold them accountable for correcting is incredibly important. Listening to them will help you realize the depth and magnitude of these issues and help those who hold power and responsibility identify ways to fix this broken system.”
