S2 Ep6

Understanding Disability & Inclusion

Description

While there has been a larger spotlight and growing understanding of the values of diversity this past year, the inclusion of people with disabilities remains often in the dark. Their participation in socially expected life roles and activities is constantly met with barriers in their daily lives, especially in employment and cultural activities.

Let’s continue our growth, making sure our allyship and understanding reach all communities; especially our neighbors, friends, and community members with disabilities.

For this sixth episode, Brown Sugar Talk has invited three guests to share their experiences and allow you to better understand unconscious biases, the challenges of the disability community, and how to uplift this beautiful community.

Testimonial

I loved the “Understanding Disability and Inclusion” episode. The information presented was new and super informative for me.

Amy, as always, hosted with such ease and grace, and the panel of guests was well-rounded and diverse. I feel like I learned a lot of key information that I can actively put to use.
