Since then, world leaders and communities have pointed to China for responsibility for our current global pandemic. A surge in racially motivated attacks toward Asian citizens across many countries has been reported. 

 As anti-Asian hate crimes and incidents related to COVID-19 continue to rise around the world, the Asian community has been forced to protect themselves.
