Expat (n): a person who lives outside their native country. Now add a layer of challenges of being a BIPOC expat. We may not fully understand the depth of struggle since traveling for a vacation can be a fantastic experience but there are add layers to the journey when moving your life abroad. From visa issues to language exchanges to hiring bias and culture shock, BIPOC expatriates have to learn how to thrive in a new home despite these unique challenges. Sakie, Melina, and Indiana are three hustlers who were able to make their mark in North America in a pretty impressive way.
